Megadeth turn Oklahoma City gig into storm benefit

Heavy rockers Megadeth will donate the proceeds of their 16 July (13) Oklahoma City gig to the victims of the May (13) storms. The group has announced the Zoo Amphitheatre gig will serve as a benefit to help those affected by the deadly tornadoes that ripped through the heart of the state.
Frontman Dave Mustaine says, “Many amazing bands have come forward to aid Oklahomans since the May tornadoes came and tore apart their homes and lives. Now it’s time for heavy metal to give to this community.”
The band will also take part in a charity softball game at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex on 15 July (13), which will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
There are also upcoming July benefits in Oklahoma featuring Kings of Leon and Toby Keith as headliners.
