Meghan Trainor was inspired by romance heartbreak

Pop star MEGHAN TRAINOR credits her first boyfriend with giving her a career in music because he inspired her to succeed by dumping her.
The All About That Bass hitmaker admits she was left heartbroken when her teenage love, identified only as ‘Matt’, moved away to attend college and ended their two-year romance so he could play the field.
However, the humiliation strengthened her resolve and made her determined to succeed in her music career, and within months she had landed a record deal.
Trainor tells Q magazine, “My major heartbreak was Matt, my first boyfriend ever, We dated for two years then he went away to college so he could be single at college. I was devastated. But because of that I got a publishing deal, I got a record deal, and so I owe him it all!”
