Melanie Chisholm triumphs in triathlon

Former Spice Girls star Melanie Chisholm showed off her stamina on Sunday (14Jul13) by completing a charity triathlon in Eton, England. The singer, nicknamed Sporty Spice during her time in the band, tackled the Shock Absorber Women Only Triathlon at Dorney Lake and was delighted when she finished the running, swimming and cycling endurance race.
Following the event, she took to her Twitter.com page to declare, “Smashed it!!!”
Chisholm will also take part in the London Triathlon later this month (Jul13), and she went back to training on Monday (15Jul13).
She told fans, “Feeling good. Just about to get back put there. Gentle one today.”
Chisholm is taking part in the races to raise money for homeless organisation Shelter, and her former bandmate Victoria Beckham has urged fans to sponsor her pal.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, Beckham writes, “Help Sporty be super sporty!”
