The Extra correspondent, whose parents are Greek, has been in intense rehearsals for the series with her professional partner Derek Hough, and reports emerged earlier this week (begs26Mar12) suggesting she had broken a rib during a recent session.
But Menounos refused to let the pain get the better of her as she competed on Monday – and the judges awarded her 25 out of 30 points for her Bonnie and Clyde-inspired quickstep.
Addressing her medical drama after the dance, she told host Brooke Burke, “Injury or not, I’m going to be a tough Greek and I’m going to kick some (butt)! I feel great. I did my best. We powered through!”
