Metal Gear Solid Film Moving Forward with New Screenwriter

Jurassic World screenwriter Derek Connolly has been tapped to rework the long-gestating film adaptation of hit video game Metal Gear Solid.

Sony Pictures bosses have been working on the project for the past decade, and now Connolly has been hired to pen the latest draft of the script.

The gig will reunite Connolly with his Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who signed on to bring the story to life on the big screen in 2014.
