Miami judge sets Justin Bieber trial date for March

Troubled pop superstar Justin Bieber will stand trial for his recent DUI arrest on 3 March (14). The Baby hitmaker was taken into custody on 23 January (14) and slapped with three misdemeanour charges for DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired licence.
Toxicology reports revealed the 19 year old had marijuana and prescription drug Xanax in his system at the time of his run-in with the law, but he recently entered a not guilty plea in writing and is due to face a judge for his arraignment hearing on St. Valentine’s Day (14Feb14).
However, a tentative trial date has already been set, with the judge ordering Bieber to appear in court again next month (Mar14).
The singer is also in legal trouble in his native Canada, where he was officially charged in connection to an alleged assault on a limousine driver in Toronto last year (Dec13). He must return to court for that case on 10 March (14).
