Michael Buble in awe of Seth MacFarlane’s ‘incredible’ vocals

Canadian crooner Michael Buble has hailed Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane as “one of the greatest singers alive”.
The Haven’t Met You Yet star is known for his love of American standards, and it’s an appreciation he shares with MacFarlane, who has also dabbled in music over the years, earning himself four Grammy Award nominations.
However, Buble believes his pal’s hugely popular animation and comedy work has overshadowed his accolades as a vocalist, and he wants others to learn to appreciate MacFarlane’s musical talents, too, because there aren’t many other artists who can do the Great American Songbook justice.
“I’ll keep the flame burning to pass this music on to a new generation,” he tells syndicated columnist Allison Kugel of his longterm career plans. “I’m fiercely protective of this genre of music. I’m a huge Harry Connick Jr. fan. I think that Seth MacFarlane might be one of the greatest singers alive.”
“It’s funny. He’s been so successful with Family Guy and movies and everything else, but a lot of people don’t know that he’s an incredible singer,” Michael shares. “As far as interpreters go, of the Great American Songbook, he’s something! He’s got the most beautiful voice. And he has albums out there. You should listen to him. You’ll be very surprised.”
Buble himself is currently enjoying belting out his favourite standards on the road as part of An Evening with Michael Buble, his first tour in four years, which is designed to promote his most recent album, Love.
He also filmed a new concert performance, simply titled buble!, for U.S. network NBC, which will air on Wednesday night (20Mar19).
