Michael J. Fox recovering from spinal surgery

Michael J. Fox is recovering after undergoing spinal surgery.
A rep for the Back to the Future star said the procedure was “unrelated” to his Parkinson’s disease.
“He is recovering, feeling great, and looking forward to getting back on the golf course this summer,” publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed to E! News.
Fox was forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in Canada due to the impending op. The actor cited “unforeseen circumstances” for the reason behind his absence when he announced the cancellation earlier this month (Apr18).
The 56-year-old actor recently appeared on U.S breakfast show Good Morning America, where discussed the recent work of his Michael J. Fox Foundation, and gave some valuable advice to fellow sufferers of Parkinson’s disease.
“That’s the key. I always drive the point home: We are the answer we’re looking for. We have the answers within us somewhere. We need to find a way to identify the disease before symptoms ever exist. People say ‘Is there a cure?’ There’s not a cure, we have a lot of questions to answer before then, but we’re answering them,” Fox explained.
The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1992, but did not go public with the disease until six years later.
