Actor Michael Keaton and TV titan Oprah Winfrey have been made honorary doctors.

The Birdman star headed home to his native Pennsylvania on Sunday (21May17) to take part in Carnegie Mellon University’s 120th commencement ceremony at the Pittsburgh school’s Gesling Stadium, where he was presented with a Doctor of Fine Arts degree.

Keaton is no stranger to Carnegie Mellon – in 2015, he signed on to serve as a visiting scholar at the college’s Entertainment Technology Center.
