Michael McDonald reaches settlement with record label

Singer/songwriter Michael Mcdonald has settled his lawsuit against his record label executives over a royalties dispute. The Doobie Brothers star launched a legal battle against Warner Music Group bosses in Nashville, Tennessee last year (May12), claiming they deliberately failed to pay him for songs that were purchased online or downloaded by cell phone users.
But now both parties have avoided a trial after reaching an agreement outside of court.
Details of the settlement were kept under wraps, but the 61 year old was previously seeking a minimum of $500,000 (£322,581) in damages.
