Michael Raymond-James has joined the cast of the action thriller One Shot, THR reports. The True Blood alum will play a key henchman to the film’s main villain, The Zec, played by lovably eccentric German filmmaker Werner Herzog.
An adaptation of the eponymous 2005 Lee Child novel, One Shot stars Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, a former Army cop who becomes embroiled in a sprawling conspiracy after five people are killed in an Indiana shooting. Screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie is slated to direct. The film begins shooting this month in Pittsburgh, and is set to open February 8, 2013.
