Michael Strahan makes his Good Morning America debut

Michael Strahan made his debut on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning (06Sep16).
Nearly four months after signing off Live! With Kelly and Michael, which he co-hosted with Kelly Ripa, made his first appearance seated next to GMA co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos at the anchor desk.
His debut came months after the drama his exit initially caused, after Ripa was reportedly “blindsided” by the announcement of his promotion.
Strahan looked relaxed and happy as he made his debut, and co-anchor Roberts said: “It is great to have you full-time with us,” after his introduction. “It does feel like the first day of school around here, doesn’t it?”
“The only thing I’m missing is my Spider-man lunch box,” joked Strahan who left his previously role in May (16).
The former NFL superstar had previously appeared on the show as a contributing anchor while also co-hosting Live!
ABC apologised to Ripa for the way Strahan’s exit was handled and on Sunday (04Sep16) Page Six reported the broadcaster was appointed executive producer on the show alongside Michael Gelman in response to the fallout.
