Mike Epps’ estranged wife is seeking almost $110,000 a month in support after accusing the comedian of limiting her access to their joint accounts.

The Next Friday star filed for divorce to end his decade-long marriage to Mechelle in January, 2016, but the exes have yet to reach a settlement agreement, and now his wife claims she has been left struggling financially thanks to the actions of the star.

According to court papers obtained by TMZ.com, Mechelle’s debit and credit cards have been deactivated, and she has been unable to get a job because, at 36, she is considered too old after having been out of work for over 10 years. She claims Epps didn’t want her to have a career while they were married.

She alleges Epps earns $3.5 million-a-year, so he should provide her with spousal support and cover expenses for their two daughters, Maddie and Mariah, including haircare and clothing, food, vacations, and private schooling, which costs $72,000 annually.

Mechelle also hires her mother to help with nanny duties, amounting to $3,500 a month. All of the expenses amount to just under $110,000 a month, which she wants Mike to cover.

She is also asking for sole possession of the couple’s marital home.

The funnyman, 46, has yet to respond to the petition, but it’s not his only legal problem. He became a wanted man in New Orleans, Louisiana last month (Feb17) after skipping a court hearing following an alleged brawl at a casino during the NBA All-Star Weekend. It is unclear if Epps has formally cleared up the issue, but he has pressed on with his comedy tour, which continues in Jackson, Mississippi on 25 March (17).
