Mike Tyson was horrified when an ex-girlfriend cooked and ate one of his beloved racing pigeons. The boxer-turned-movie star reveals his ex even offered him a bite of her boiled bird, but he couldn’t bring himself to dine on a feathered friend. Appearing on the Boomer & Carlton radio show in America on Thursday (25Apr13), the avid pigeon fancier recalled, “I was dating this young lady and she said, ‘I don’t know why you’re flying those damn birds, you should be eating them.’
“She happened to grab one and she cooked one and proceeded to eat it. And I just couldn’t do it… It just wasn’t the right thing to do… It wasn’t cool. But it was her house and we were living off of her dime, so she could do (it).” The Hangover star, who is currently touring theatres with his one-man show, reveals the romance ended soon after the bird-eating incident.
