Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo reach out to Stranger Things fan after party fail

Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo have reached out to a fan after he threw a Stranger Things-themed party and nobody showed up.

Aaron Alambat from California went all out with his Stranger Things theme for his recent birthday bash, serving punch called “Demogorgon blood”, adding the Netflix’s series logo to his cake, and hanging lightbulbs and black letters that spelled “Happy Birthday” on one of the walls in his house to make it look like the living room in Winona Ryder’s character Joyce Byers’ home in season one of the show.

However, his efforts went unappreciated because nobody turned up to his party. His sister shared the disappointing turn out on social media on Sunday (18Mar18), uploading a set of photos with the caption: “My brother invited 8 of his classmates for his stranger things themed bday party & none of their punk selves showed up.”

The tweet went viral, with over 250,000 likes and 55,000 retweets, and even caught the attention of Millie, 14, and 15-year-old Gaten, who play Eleven and Dustin on the show.

“What!!!! Oh Well You can let them all know that everyone on behalf on Stranger things would’ve come!” Millie tweeted, sharing his sister’s tweet. “I think your awesome and next year I would like an invite… Please (sic)?” followed by three blowing a kiss emojis.

Ayen replied, writing, “YES MILLIE. AARON LOVES YOU AND THE WHOLE CAST.”

Gaten also joined in, tweeting Millie, “Count me in too! I’ll bring the chocolate pudding,” to which she replied, “Yes Gaten!!!”

The news comes after it was reported the cast are receiving substantial pay rises for season three. Gaten and his co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp will reportedly earn $250,000 per episode, while Millie’s salary is unknown, but estimates suggest $300,000.
