Pop superstar Ariana Grande gave Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown a big ego boost ahead of the Golden Globe Awards by praising her “stunning” red carpet look.
The 13-year-old wowed fans at the Los Angeles ceremony on Sunday (07Jan18) when she stepped out in a black Calvin Klein by Appointment mini dress, featuring a statement ruffle neckline and a plunging back, and she has since revealed she turned to new friend Ariana for her opinion before making an appearance in front of the world’s cameras.
Millie shared her text message conversation with the Side to Side hitmaker on Instagram, revealing Ariana’s stunned reaction to her gown.
“i mean… jesus… that’s unbelievable… who is it,” the singer wrote in a series of short texts. “wowowowowowowo sooooooo fly and like yes to the black and like yes… proud gorgeous stunning bye (sic)”.
Millie captioned the image, “love her so much”.
Like the majority of stars attending the Globes, the teen chose to wear black to show her support for the Time’s Up movement, which aims to tackle gender inequality, discrimination and sexual misconduct in the workplace.
