Miranda Cosgrove files lawsuit against former tour bus driver

Actress/singer Miranda Cosgrove has filed a lawsuit against her former driver over a 2011 tour bus crash, which left her with a broken ankle. The iCarly star was en route to a concert when her bus collided with a tractor-trailer in Illinois in August, 2011.
The injuries she sustained in the crash forced her to cancel her Dancing Crazy Tour and she spent months in physical therapy after undergoing surgery.
Her mum Chris was also injured in the accident, and now they are taking legal action against the drivers of both vehicles, as well as the bosses of both transportation companies, claiming they were left “disfigured and disabled” by the crash and unable to conduct “normal lives”.
The mother-daughter pair filed papers at a federal court in Illinois, with each seeking a minimum of $50,000 (£32,258) in damages, according to TMZ.com.
