Miranda Kerr thanks fans for ‘warm wishes’ following birth of son

Miranda Kerr has thanked her fans for their “warm wishes” following the birth of her second child.
The Australian supermodel announced last November (17) she was expecting a baby with her Snapchat co-founder husband Evan Spiegel, a sibling for her seven-year-old son Flynn.
Miranda gave birth on 7 May (18) and has now shared a post on Instagram expressing gratitude for all the congratulatory messages she has received.
“Thank you so much for all of your warm wishes. Evan, Flynn and I have been in baby bliss for the last 17 days with our new arrival, baby boy Hart,” she wrote, adding: “We feel so very blessed.”
Alongside the note, Miranda shared a photograph of a bouquet of flowers, a deer soft toy and a brightly coloured wooden train toy that spells out the word Hart.
But she didn’t upload any photos of the infant and is probably unlikely to any time in the future given that she rarely posts photos of Flynn, who she shares with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
Miranda didn’t comment on the inspiration behind her son’s name either, but People magazine previously reported that the moniker was a tribute to Evan’s grandfather.
The fashion star and beauty entrepreneur only conducted a couple of interviews throughout the duration of her pregnancy. However, when speaking to Stellar magazine in early May, she explained that she found it difficult to juggle her work commitments with parenting duties.
“I’m working just as much, but I’m working differently. Before, when I was pregnant with Flynn, I was doing a lot of photoshoots and travel – but obviously I didn’t have Flynn to look after. So, I had more time to do, say, yoga. And I was telling Evan, ‘Aw man, I haven’t had time to do this pre-natal DVD,’ and then was like, ‘I wonder why?’ And I thought about my day and was like, ‘Oh, O.K., that makes sense,'” the 35-year-old said. “And then on the weekends we just really try to spend family time together.”
