Lil Yachty lands How High sequel role

Rapper Lil Yachty is breaking into acting by joining the cast of the sequel to stoner comedy How High.
The hip-hop star took to Twitter to reveal his new gig on Tuesday (25Sep18), as filming on the project began in his native Atlanta, Georgia.
“I got some exciting news for all my fans and all my haters out there, and all the smokers,” he told fans. “I want to be the first to announce that we are in production of the long-awaited sequel of How High 2, starring me, you know what I’m saying?”
According to MTV, Yachty, who ironically doesn’t smoke marijuana, will play a character named Roger, a younger brother of one of the main characters from the 2001 original.
He will also be co-executive producing the movie, although further casting information has yet to be revealed, and it’s not clear if the previous film’s stars, rap veterans Method Man and Redman, will be returning to the franchise.
