Missy Elliot and Timbaland facing lawsuit over Aaliyah song

Longtime rap collaborators Missy Elliot and Timbaland have been hit with a lawsuit over profits from an Aaliyah song.
Terry Williams claims he co-wrote and produced a track titled Heartbroken with Elliot in the 1990s, and she subsequently sold the tune without his permission to the late singer.
Timbaland also produced the song, but Williams alleges he never received any compensation for his work.
According to TMZ, Williams allegedly agreed to a deal over profits from the track, but Elliot and Timbaland released a version that sounded similar to his without paying him.
Williams is suing Elliot, Timbaland, and Aaliyah’s estate bosses for profits made.
