Model Julie Ordon and director David Mimran sued by former landlord

Model Julie Ordon and her French director husband David Mimran are facing legal action over allegations they trashed a luxury New York City apartment and failed to pay $32,000 (£21,330) in rent. The couple and its four children are accused of causing more than $150,000 (£100,000)-worth of damage to a Soho condominium they called home for three years until moving out in the summer of 2012.
Landlord Richard Sabella claims the Victoria’s Secret lingerie stunner and the Stone filmmaker turned a section of the pad into a playpen for their kids, but the family reportedly “caused unspeakable damage to the subject unit… ruining furniture, electronic systems, floor coverings, and fixtures including many of the antiques and collectibles” which was provided to furnish the apartment.
Ordon and Mimran are also alleged to have skipped rent payments for the last three months of their tenancy before moving to her native Switzerland.
Sabella is demanding more than $280,000 (£186,670) in damages.
However, Ordon has hit back at the lawsuit, insisting her old landlord is simply trying to “get money from everyone for no reason”. She claims the home was far from luxurious and they had to put up with a multitude of problems.
She tells the New York Post, “There (were) problems with the oven, with the fridge, with the air.
“We even had water damage from the rooftop. It leaked all over my shoe and bag collection – I had Birkins (designer handbags) and Louis Vuittons that got ruined.”
