Alanis Morissette will begin a 12-country tour of European festivals, arenas and clubs on June 1 in Nuremberg, Germany, Reuters reports. The European tour, running through July 15, will showcase some new material, which may be included on her next release. Morissette also will play two shows in Los Angeles’ El Rey Theater on May 25 and 26 and in her hometown of Ottawa, Canada, on July 1. Tickets for her Los Angeles performance are being sold exclusively through her Web site, http://alanismorissette.com, beginning 10 a.m. Sunday. She has recorded her first album since 1998 Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie CD, but has not delivered her tapes to Madonna‘s label, Maverick, in hopes of getting a better deal.
