Motorhead postpone European tour until 2014

Rockers Motorhead have scrapped all European tour dates until next year (14) in a bid to allow frontman Lemmy to fully recover from ongoing health issues. The Ace of Spades singer has been off the road since undergoing heart surgery and suffering a “severe haematoma” earlier this year (13), prompting the band to axe a series of shows.
Lemmy tried to return to the stage at a music festival in Germany in August (13) but had to cut the set short due to being too weak to continue.
Now the rockers have decided to cancel all dates until February (14) so he has time to return to full fitness.
A statement from the musician on the band’s site reads, “We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health. Don’t worry – I’m not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.”
Motorhead had gigs scheduled in the U.K., Switzerland, Belgium and France throughout November (13).
