Movie theatres in France to re-open following coronavirus shutdown

Movie theatres are set to re-open in France next month (June 2020) following the country’s coronavirus shutdown.

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced on Thursday (May 28, 2020) that cinemas will open on June 22 (2020) – a week ahead of French Culture Minister Franck Riester‘s previous planned return.

Social distancing measures will be in place, with masks required for all filmgoers.
