The A-Team star Mr. T knew he wouldn’t last long on reality show Dancing With The Stars, because he has never been one for fancy footwork.

The former wrestler-turned-TV tough guy became the third celebrity to be voted off the show’s current 24th season on Monday night (10Apr17), after he and his professional partner Kym Herjavec failed to wow judges with their waltz.

However, the 64-year-old, real name Lawrence Tureaud, insists he has no regrets about signing on for the dance contest, because he wants to set an example to others to always do their best – no matter what the challenge.

And raising a little money for his favorite children’s charities along the way gave him the added incentive to try and strive for success during the ballroom dancing competition.

“I can’t dance, but I was dancing to give my share of the purse to St. Jude and Shriners Hospitals,” he explained on Good Morning America. “And of course the fact that I couldn’t dance, I said I was willing to try. That’s what I want people to do: Try. Don’t quit.”

Mr. T wants to make it clear he was not “booted” from the show, after taking issue with his introduction as he appeared on the breakfast show on Tuesday (11Apr17).

“We didn’t get booted off, we (were) gradually eased off,” he smiled. “Ain’t nobody going to boot Mr. T off (sic)! As a competitor, we left it on the dance floor like we’re supposed to. We walked off with grace and style.”

Comedian Chris Kattan and veteran Latin entertainer Charo previously exited the show. Among those still in the competition are Fifth Harmony singer Normani Kordei and former Glee star Heather Morris.
