Musician Dave Lamb loses battle with leukaemia

Brown Bird guitarist Dave Lamb has died at the age of 35 after a year-long battle with leukaemia. The 35 year old died on Saturday (05Apr14) in Providence, Rhode Island.
His wife MorganEve Swain, who performed in the folk music duo with Lamb, took to to share the sad news with their fans.
She wrote, “Dave entered the battle with leukemia as only Dave could- determined, steadfast, smiling and always with his mind on our future. His incredible ability to continue writing through his struggle is something I’ll forever aspire to.
“This week was the toughest in the battle, as Dave’s body began to shut down under the stress of a year-long fight and a sudden and aggressive leukemic relapse. Today, surrounded by his family and so many friends, Dave peacefully let go.”
In 2003, Lamb started Brown Bird as a solo artist in Seattle, Washington, and in 2008, he met Swain and formed a duo.
A public memorial will be held for Lamb on 8 April (14) in Providence.
