Nathan Sykes is not interested in reuniting with his The Wanted bandmates.

The Glad You Came hitmakers went on hiatus in 2014, and some members of the British boyband, which also featured Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Jay McGuiness, are open to a reunion, though Nathan has made it clear he won’t be part of it.

“I think in terms of doing more as The Wanted in the future… personally speaking, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been as an artist at this time in my life,” he told Billboard magazine. “So it isn’t something that I would consider, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that the other four have talked about it.”
But Nathan, who released his debut solo album Unfinished Business in 2016, claimed that he will be supportive of his bandmates if they do get back together.

“I’d go to the gigs, I’d be singing along, and I would love nothing more than if the four boys want to do that,” the 25-year-old continued. “But just at the moment, I think I’ve found my place as an artist, and I think to kind of go back on that would be changing my path very abruptly… So I’m going to continue on my path as a solo artist, and hope that the other four kind of decide to get back together as a band.”

The others have no set plans to reunite, but Max admitted he was open to the idea because he still adores his bandmates and he’d “love to experience that again”.

He is still in touch with Tom and Jay, and they have expressed similar feelings.

“Whenever we talk, we always kind of come back ’round to (The Wanted), even if it’s just for 10 seconds, like, ‘Boy I’d like to do it again, wouldn’t you?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah I would,'” Max said, recalling a phone call with Tom.
