New York Dolls star wins court motion to force ex-wife to sell vacation home

New York Dolls frontman David Johansen has been granted a request to force his ex-wife Kate Simon to sell their New York vacation home. The former couple settled its divorce in 2011 and Simon was reportedly supposed to put the Bearsville house up for sale as part of the divorce agreement.
A source tells the New York Post that the home failed to sell and alleges the former Mrs. Johansen continued using it as a vacation home.
However, on Wednesday (11Jun14), Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper ruled Simon must put the four-bedroom house on the market immediately.
The source continues, “The judge ruled it had to be immediately put up for sale for $695,000.”
Johansen and Simon wed in 1983 and separated in 2006. The rocker is currently married to his third wife Mara Hennessey.
