Nick & Joe Jonas Celebrate VMA Success With Matching Tattoos (Sorry, Kevin)

Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas marked the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards by getting matching arrow tattoos.

The siblings were both involved in the New York ceremony on Sunday night (28Aug16). While Nick belted out his new single Bacon at diner Tick Tock in Manhattan, DNCE frontman Joe was one of the famous faces sitting in the booths enjoying the performance.

And to mark the special occasion, Nick and Joe both paid a trip to a tattoo studio. The brothers opted for thin arrows on the back of their biceps, with the arrows pointing towards one another.

Joe first teased fans that he was planning an addition to his inking collection by posting a mysterious picture on his Instagram page with the caption: “Pre VMA tats.”

As well as Nick’s triumphant performance of Bacon, the evening was successful for Joe, who was crowned Best New Artist with his band DNCE.

When their victory was announced, Joe tweeted: “Holy s**t.”

Nick summed up his feelings from the evening when he tweeted: “What an unbelievable night.”

Despite Nick’s positive tweet, he revealed his disappointment earlier in the year (16) when his video Close was absent from the nominations list for this year’s ceremony.

“Disappointed with the fact ‘Close’ got no love for the #VMAs2016,” he wrote last month (Jul16). “Actually after thinking about it more there are so many amazing things happening in my life and career. 9 out of 10 boxes are checked…Won’t let this one thing get to me. I’m feeling so inspired and grateful these days.”

“Gonna focus more on caring less about the small stuff. Everything is awesome.”
