Nick Jonas feared offending his mum with laundry tale

Pop star Nick Jonas feared he had offended his mother by revealing she still washes his dirty laundry whenever he heads home after weeks on tour.
The Jealous hitmaker recently admitted he usually takes his suitcase full of worn clothes back to his family home in New Jersey for his mum Denise to clean because she enjoys doing motherly chores for her four boys, especially now they’re all grown up.
The 25-year-old’s quotes from the E! Online interview went viral, with some people criticising the singer, but Nick insists it’s all been blown out of proportion.
“Here’s the thing: the question I probably get asked the most is, ‘You’ve been doing this (performing) since you were so young, how do you stay normal?’,” he explained on U.S. show The View. “And I always say…, ‘It’s my family, and time with my family is super important’, and I think in this interview, I mentioned (the laundry). I said, ‘For instance, my mum, I moved out when I was 18, and… when I go home she loves to be mum again… Sometimes she likes to do my laundry, which is really nice’.
“So I don’t bring it and go, ‘Hey mum, I’m home! Here’s my laundry!’, but she goes, ‘I would love to do your laundry’.”
Nick actually realised how his comments might have upset fans after the E! chat and checked in with his mum to make sure he hadn’t just landed himself in trouble.
“I called her after (the interview), and I said, ‘Mum, I did this interview, I don’t know if it’ll offend you’,” the star remembered. “She said, ‘No, it’s so sweet, I love it!’ and I was like, ‘OK, I’m good!'”
Kevin and Joe Jonas’ younger brother smiled, “I’m proud to be a mama’s boy.”
