Nick Jonas instantly knew that his wife Priyanka Chopra was his “partner for life”.
The Jealous singer tied the knot with the former Quantico actress in two ceremonies in her native India at the start of December (18), months after they began dating, and while it may appear like a whirlwind romance on the outside, Nick has insisted that he instantly knew Priyanka was the one and that the progression of their relationship felt natural.
“It was kind of an instant thing. I knew once we locked in together that I had a partner for life and a teammate, someone I could walk through the good times and the bad times with, and that was the key,” he gushed to Entertainment Tonight. “I’m blushing now!”
He continued to explain that he was looking forward to life as a married man.
“My life is very good right now, very excited, lots of good things coming up,” he said. “It’s been a good year.”
Nick, 26, and Priyanka, 36, have been celebrating their marriage and travelling non-stop since they got hitched, with their stops including New York, Oman and several trips to India, where they hosted a total of three wedding parties. They then spent their first Christmas as newlyweds in England with both their families before jetting to Switzerland for a family vacation for New Year’s Eve.
The couple, who got engaged in late July, revealed to People in December that they had imposed a two-week rule so they would never be apart for too long, and shared that they are both excited to have children in the future.
“We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen,” Priyanka said, while Nick added, “Let us be married first for a while before we have to make all these big decisions. We’re in our honeymoon period right now and we will be for a very long time.”
