Nicki Minaj receives the keys to hometown

Nicki Minaj was presented with the keys to Queens, New York on Monday (26Jun17).
The Anaconda hitmaker moved to the South Jamaica section of the borough from Trinidad and Tobago when she was a child and on Monday she was honoured by Queens Borough president Melinda Katz for her “outstanding career achievements in music.”
After receiving the honour, Nicki took to Twitter to show off the plaque.
“This is a #MajorKeyAlert I just got the #KeyToTheCity #ProudQueensGirl,” she wrote. “Thank you #MelindaKatz Queens Borough PRESIDENT.”
