Nico Tortorella and Myko Olivier to play murderous Menendez brothers

Nico Tortorella and Myko Olivier have been cast to play convicted killers Lyle and Erik Menendez in a TV movie.
American Crime’s Benito Martinez has also been cast to take on the role of Jose Menendez, who was murdered by his sons in 1989.
The actors will join Courtney Love, who will star as the killer brothers’ mum Kitty, in the untitled movie, which chronicles the events leading up to the deaths of entertainment executive Jose Menendez and his wife – and their sons’ subsequent trial.
A spokesman for U.S. cable channel Lifetime, where the film will debut, reveals the movie will focus on the “extreme abuse the brothers endured at their father’s hands, while their mother looked the other way”.
Production is slated to begin later this month (Feb17).
The TV movie is not the only project about the Menendez family currently in the works – Law and Order: Special Victims Unit execute producer Dick Wolf is developing an eight-part anthology series, titled Law & Order: True Crime – The Menendez Brothers.
