Nicole Richie celebrates 35th birthday with disco-themed bash

Nicole Richie celebrated turning 35 by dressing up for a disco-themed birthday party with close friends Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba and sister-in-law Cameron Diaz.
Husband Joel Madden, dad Lionel Richie, and close pals Ellen Pompeo, Rachel Zoe and celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin also helped the mother-of-two ring in her birthday in style on Friday (23Sep16).
Decked out in 1970s-style ensembles for the bash at The Standard in West Hollywood, the A-listers took to social media to share glamorous snaps from the party.
“Happy birthday gorgeous! @nicolerichie #DiscoNight,” Hudson captioned a sultry shot of herself with the birthday girl, who wore a gold dress and her hair in curls.
Kate also posted hilarious videos of Richie’s husband Joel Madden learning to use Snapchat for the first time.
Before heading to her party, Richie got ready for her big night with Diaz, and friends Katherine Power and Jamie Schneider, who shared a snap of the foursome looking particular glamorous on Instagram.
Once Richie and her guests arrived at the party, they skated around a roller rink and danced to tunes including Diana Ross’ I’m Coming Out, reports Us Weekly.
Alba, who attended the bash alongside husband Cash Warren, stunned in a floor-length gold dress and uploaded multiple videos from the celebration on Snapchat alongside Richie, who strutted her stuff for the camera.
Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo also shared a picture of herself posing with Nicole and fellow guests, including DJ Samantha Ronson.
She captioned the image: “When @nicolerichie decides to Slay cuz (sic) it’s her birthday.”
Nicole, mother to daughter Harlow, eight, and son Sparrow, seven, marked her actual birthday on 21 September (16), but chose to wait until the weekend to let her hair down.
