Nina Agdal lands lingerie campaign after speaking out about body shaming

Nina Agdal has landed a new lingerie campaign months after being body-shamed for her curvy figure.

The Danish model revealed on social media in January (18) that because her “athletic build and healthy curves” didn’t fit into a sample size, she was dropped from a cover shoot with an unnamed magazine.

Now the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue star has been announced as the star of a new campaign for lingerie brand Leonisa, months after fans praised her for calling out the fashion industry.

Posing in the new season underwear, with a wind machine blowing her long hair back, the model oozes body confidence.

Nina, who has worked with Leonisa on previous campaigns, also stripped off for a snap taken by her beau Jack Brinkley-Cook, son of model Christie Brinkley, which was posted on her Instagram account on Tuesday.

“When the light and your boyfriend are cute, you gotta do what you gotta do,” she captioned the photo in which she is pictured completely nude, standing by a tree.

The 26-year-old has also posed in swimwear for American Eagles’ body-positive brand Aerie unretouched #AerieReal campaign.

Nina, previously credited her social media post about body shaming with landing her the Aerie gig.
“The conversation happened naturally after my post about my experience with body shaming,” she told Glamour. “It was like walking into a family – I met Iskra (Lawrence), Yara (Shahidi), the new Aerie Real campaign girls.

“I’m not just going to do swimsuit clients where there’s a lot of retouching. I thought (this campaign) would be perfect for me to put myself out there again and show people who I really am,” she smiled.
