Ol’ Dirty Bastard to feature on Wu-Tang Clan anniversary album

Tragic rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard is returning from the grave to feature on Wu-Tang Clan’s 20th anniversary album. Group member Inspectah Deck has revealed his bandmate RZA has unearthed several unreleased songs from the Protect Ya’ Neck hitmaker, and they’ll be included on the rap collective’s first album in six years, A Better Tomorrow.
He says, “RZA has a bunch of Ol’ Dirty tracks and verses that, for years, nobody’s heard, and… we’re supposed to have an Ol’ Dirty track on there. It may be by itself or we might join it on to another song. But Ol’ Dirty is going to be part of this album, that’s a fact.”
A Better Tomorrow could be the group’s last album, but, if left up to Inspectah Deck, fans may get several more.
He says, “I feel young enough to do, like, three more. But it depends, people are perceiving this as our last one, but it doesn’t have to be. People look at you for what you did last, so it depends really on the success of this one. If this one does really well, then I’m pretty sure we’ll come together for another one.”
Ol’ Dirty Bastard passed away in 2004 from a drug overdose.
