Olivia Colman struggling with new-found fame

British actress Olivia Colman is struggling to come to terms with her new-found fame after a slew of awards in recent months forced her into the public eye. The Iron Lady star picked up two British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) TV awards for her role in comedy show Twenty Twelve earlier this year (13) but she is nervous about getting spotted by avid fans when she is out and about.
She tells Britain’s Sunday Express, “I only do journeys now that I really have to. I’ve never had a bad experience, it’s just funny. Someone knows your face, but you don’t know theirs. It’s a bit peculiar, and I’m sure I’ll get better at it.”
Colman is so worried that she even avoids visiting her local shop, adding, “If I need to get a pint of milk, I’ll wait until I really need to go. Where I live actually, everybody knows me so that’s all fine but when you’re away from home, it’s slightly daunting and I’m a bit of a chicken.”
