Olly Murs has worked hard to ensure fans who had tickets to his upcoming cancelled gigs aren’t left out of pocket.

The British singer was due to perform at Exeter’s Powderham Castle on 29 July (17) and at Kings Park, Bournemouth, England, the following weekend, however he was forced to pull out of the concerts due to event organizer Stephen C Associates Limited going into insolvency.

Loyal devotees of Olly were left devastated when many of them were told they wouldn’t be able to get a refund. But 33-year-old Olly has now come up with a plan that means nobody will be left footing the bill for a cancelled gig.

Taking to Twitter on Monday morning (24Jul17) Olly shared his solution for those who missed out on the shows after the cancellations caused uproar on social media.

“After both of these shows were cancelled when the promoter went into liquidation, I know you were all upset and left out of pocket!” he wrote.

“We tried to find a way of still doing the shows or rescheduling them but ended up facing too many obstacles, and we couldn’t risk letting you down again.

“So, together with my management, agent and promoters of my other summer shows, we have come up with the most viable solution so I can still hopefully see most of you!”

He then listed two dates in August, at Singleton Park in Swansea, Wales, followed by Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, England, and invited fans to attend those events instead.

Olly also confirmed that those offered refunds for the cancelled gigs will still receive special invitations for the other two performances, urging people to contact ticket issuers for full details.

“I know I’m asking you to trade to new locations, and it’s far from ideal, but we’ve really tried to make something work & I hope I can see loads of you at these other shows. Much love always, Olly x,” he concluded his post.
