Olympian Gabby Douglas briefly hospitalised

U.S. Olympic gold medallist Gabby Douglas is on the mend after a brief hospitalisation on Sunday (28Aug16).
The top gymnast was slated to join her fellow Olympians on the Final Five team at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, but she did not attend as planned in order to recover from a mystery illness.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram hours before the ceremony began and posted a photo of herself laying down in a hotel bedroom, next to windows overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
“Out of the hospital & resting comfortably. #FinalFive so sad I can’t be with u all to present tonite @MTV thank u xoxo (sic)”.
Her teammates, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian, all still attended the star-studded prizegiving.
