One Hoffman drug suspect strikes plea deal

A man arrested in connection to the death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has pleaded guilty to cocaine and ecstasy possession. Max Rosenblum, 22, was arrested in February (14) during a raid on an apartment in New York as cops investigated the source of multiple heroin packets allegedly found at the Capote star’s home.
Rosenblum also had pending charges stemming from an arrest for cocaine and ecstasy possession in 2010.
He failed to show up for court appearances on the earlier charges until he was arrested last month (Feb14).
He avoided jail thanks to a plea agreement, which was entered on Tuesday (18Mar14).
Rosenblum was placed on two years probation and ordered to continue with drug rehabilitation treatment.
Hoffman was found dead at his New York home on 2 February (14) following a drug overdose.
