Oprah Winfrey touts the benefits of meditation

Oprah Winfrey is challenging fans to meditate, touting the benefits of the relaxing practice. The iconic TV host has revealed that she meditates twice a day and encourages her staff to follow her lead.
In an interview with U.S. TV talk show host David Letterman on Thursday (01Aug13) she said, “Actually I brought meditation to my company right before I ended (the Oprah show) in 2010, because it makes for a better environment when everybody is focused and of one mind.”
And to help others master the art of relaxing, Oprah and self-help guru Deepak Chopra have created an online guide to de-stressing.
She explained, “You go online, to Oprah.com, and you can sign up and it’s free, because I want more people to meditate.”
