Oscar Isaac is in talks to voice Gomez Adams in the animated film The Addams Family.
The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor is in talks with film studio MGM to voice the family patriarch, according to Variety.
The rest of the cast has not yet been revealed, however Conrad Vernon is directing, with Pamela Pettler penning the screenplay.
MGM announced on Friday (15Dec17) it had set a release date of 11 October, 2019 for the movie.
The family – Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children Wednesday and Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, the butler Lurch, the disembodied hand Thing, and the hairy Cousin Itt – began their life as illustrations by Charles Addams that appeared in The New Yorker, before being immortalized in a TV show in the 1960s that starred John Astin and Carolyn Jones.
Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, and Christina Ricci starred in two Addams Family movies in the 1990s, alongside Christopher Lloyd.
