Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Oscar Isaac has become a father for the first time.
Oscar’s girlfriend, filmmaker Elvira Lind, revealed their baby had arrived in a brief video message posted on Twitter to celebrate the triple win for her documentary Bobbi Jene at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night (27Apr17).
“Thank you to the Tribeca Film Festival and thank you to the jury,” the new mum said in the clip, while holding her newborn. “I’m beyond words. It’s amazing. If I could, I would be dancing, I’d be jumping up and down, probably all week long. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Freelance writer Annika Andersson shared the video on Twitter and captioned it, “Wohooo – Three Awards for Bobbi Jene and greeting by Elvira Lind with newborn baby #Tribeca2017 @Tribeca #BobbiJene.”

Bobbi Jene, Elvira’s film about ballet dancer Bobbi Jene Smith, scored prizes for Best Documentary Feature and Best Documentary Cinematography, as well as Best Documentary Editing for Adam Nielson.
Oscar and Elvira never commented on the filmmaker’s pregnancy, which hit headlines in late March (17) after she was spotted sporting a growing baby bump while in New York City.
The famously private couple began dating last year (16) and went public with the romance at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, where Oscar was shown on camera planting a kiss on his date after landing the Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie honor for Show Me a Hero.
They previously worked together in 2013 on the Staircase Sessions website, producing music videos.
