Paloma Faith turned down The Voice job

British singer Paloma Faith turned down the chance to work on the U.K. version of The Voice. The Picking Up The Pieces star has revealed she was offered a slot on the panel of the TV talent show, but she decided against taking the contract.
She tells Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, “Yes, they did offer me The Voice, but I didn’t feel it was right. I don’t like the idea of eliminating people because I don’t feel confident enough about my own abilities to judge anybody else.”
Faith is now working on a new talent-scouting competition called Launching People in conjunction with technology firm Samsung, and she admits it is easier than working on The Voice, adding, “I don’t have to (eliminate people). This project is about celebrating someone’s talent – whereas The Voice is about rejection and battles.”
The 2014 season of The Voice U.K. features rocker Ricky Wilson, Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Kylie Minogue.
