Paltrow hits back at cookbook allegations once and for all

A reporter for the New York Times recently questioned the extent of Paltrow’s involvement in putting together My Father’s Daughter, and instead linked writer Julia Turshen to the collection of family recipes and cooking tips.

The Oscar winner fired back at the claims via Twitter.com last weekend (17Mar12), writing, “Love The New York Times dining section but this week’s facts need checking. No ghostwriter on my cookbook, I wrote every word myself.”

But the rumours have continued to swirl and Paltrow decided to answer the allegations once and for all on U.S. TV in an interview with cooking show host Rachael Ray on Thursday (22Mar12).

Speaking from her London home via video calling program Skype, she said, “Normally I don’t respond to gossip or anything, but you know this is my professional life and I’m writing more cookbooks. And I feel like it’s important for the people who have responded so positively and interacted with me about my book, that they know that this is my book and I wrote my book and it’s all mine.”
