Pamela Anderson’s son encouraged her to get naked for Playboy last year

Pamela Anderson’s sons aren’t afraid to point out her mistakes.
The former Baywatch babe has boys Brandon, 20, and 18-year-old Dylan with ex-husband Tommy Lee, who split from in 1998 after three years of marriage then reconciled with twice before splitting for good in 2008. Pamela, 49, previously admitted her sons got into “fist fights” over being teased about their mother at school, as it was risque photoshoots that also boosted her fame as well as starring in TV show Baywatch.
In 2015 Pamela posed for Playboy magazine’s final cover, and it was her eldest son who encouraged her.
“That was the last call I thought I’d get! Brandon was next to me and said, ‘You have to do it. It’s iconic, mom,’” she recalled to London’s Evening Standard newspaper.
“They think I do things wrong. It’s the typical mother-son relationship. ‘Oh mom, you should have done this. You could be so rich like Kim Kardashian!’ That’s not a life I aspire to. I am rich: I’m healthy, I have two beautiful boys and I’m doing what I’m passionate about. I don’t need stuff.”
What Pamela is passionate about at the moment is preventing animal cruelty, and she’s an active member of organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Her drive to support the cause all began when she stumbled across her hunter father’s hunting catches when she was just six years old.
“My dad told me never to go in to the pumphouse, so I gathered all my girlfriends – ‘let’s just see what’s in there,’” she explained. “I found a deer carcass with no head, dripping into a bucket of blood. We all screamed. It was like a movie, pigtails flying everywhere.”
“I needed to share this attention with something meaningful,” she added of getting involved with PETA. “I was sick of talking about my boyfriends and my boobs.”
