Paris Hilton and Joan Collins lead tributes to Zsa Zsa Gabor

Stars including Paris Hilton, Joan Collins and Miley Cyrus have paid tribute to actress Zsa Zsa Gabor following her death.

The Hungarian-born socialite passed away on Sunday (18Dec16) aged 99 after suffering a heart attack. Besides her acting career, Gabor was famous for her quirky off-screen persona, her “dahlink” catchphrase and her tumultuous love life, which featured nine marriages, seven divorces and one annulment.

Her most famous spouse was the great-grandfather of socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton, Conrad Hilton, who she wed in 1942. Following her death Paris took to Twitter to pay tribute to his ex-wife by sharing a snap of the former couple and writing, “Sad to hear the news of Zsa Zsa Gabor’s passing. My great grandfather and her made such a beautiful couple. May she rest in peace.”

Veteran actress Joan Collins shared a black and white picture of her enjoying a conversation with Gabor and two men, including diplomat Porfirio Rubirosa, at a dinner party and tweeted, “Sorry to hear that Zsa Zsa Gabor has died. Here with Porfirio Rubirosa & Nick Hilton. She was such fun.”

Miley Cyrus also paid tribute by posting an old promotional picture of a young Gabor with a pink poodle and wrote, “Zsa Zsa!!!!! What a LONG & beautiful life! I have been beyond inspired by your style & grace! We LOVE & MISS YOU! #99 #ZsaZsa.”

Other tributes were paid by former I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden, who posted, “Rest in peace Zsa Zsa Gabor. She and her sisters were lovely ladies who were always fun and delightful to be around. -B,” and Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie, who shared an old photograph of Gabor and wrote, “The fabulous, unmistakable, Zsa Zsa Gabor.”
