Paris Hilton caught up in London flight chaos before Maui getaway

Paris Hilton had to delay her anniversary get away with Spanish toyboy River Viiperi when she missed a connecting flight to Maui, Hawaii upon the couple’s return from the Cannes Film Festival in France at the weekend. The socialite and the model were caught up in traffic chaos at London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday (26May13) and the four hour delay cost her a flight to the Hawaiian island, where she had planned a romantic getaway.
She kept her Twitter followers updated on her travel trauma, writing, “So annoyed. Still at airport, flight has been delayed 4 hours. So not going to make our connection flight from LA to Maui…
“Missing my pets so much! Love my adorable little babies. Mugsy, Munchkin, Peter Pan & Harajuku…”
Hilton eventually breezed into Los Angeles International Airport in a summery kaftan and floppy hat and had to spend Sunday night at home in Los Angeles before she could re-organise her trip.
The couple finally made it to Maui and celebrated its one-year anniversary over dinner at Spago restaurant on Tuesday (28May13).
