Paul Simon set for first Hawaii show in 51 years

Paul Simon is planning his first Hawaii shows since 1968.
The You Can Call Me Al singer will perform a pair of benefit shows in Maui in August (19) as a warm-up for his Outside Lands festival performance in San Francisco, California.
The headlining set was initially announced as the veteran’s first concert since he ended his farewell tour in Queens, New York last September (18).
The Maui shows will benefit biodiversity conservation and proceeds will be donated to The Auwahi Forest Restoration Project and Kua‘aina Ulu ‘Auamo (KUA). Proceeds from Outside Lands will benefit the San Francisco Parks Alliance and Friends of the Urban Forest.
Simon has never performed in Maui – he and former partner Art Garfunkel played in Honolulu, Oahu in August,1968.
