Peaches Geldof dead at 25

Rocker Bob Geldof’s daughter Peaches Geldof has died at the age of 25. Police were called to the British socialite and TV personality’s home in Kent, England on Monday afternoon (07Apr14) to investigate concerns about her welfare. She was later pronounced dead by paramedics.
A Kent Police spokesperson says, “At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden.”
Born Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof, she was Boomtown Rats frontman’s second daughter with his ex-wife, late TV presenter Paula Yates, whose father was beloved British TV host Hughie Green.
She established herself as a journalist in her teens, writing articles for Britain’s The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph newspapers and the U.K. edition of Elle Girl magazine. Geldof also wrote a column for U.S. arts and style publication Nylon.
She landed her own documentary show, Peaches Geldof: Teenage Mind, in 2005 and followed it up with projects including an MTV reality show, titled Peaches: Disappear Here, which chronicled the socialite’s attempts to launch a new youth magazine, and OMG! with Peaches Geldof in 2011.
She also carved out a career for herself as a model, becoming the face of Ultimo underwear in 2009, but she was dropped from the label the following year (10) after she was involved in a nude photo scandal amid allegations of drug use.
She was married twice – her 2008 union with Chester French rocker Max Drummey lasted just six months, and she wed S.C.U.M. singer Thomas Cohen in September, 2012, less than five months after she gave birth to their first child, son Astala. They welcomed second son Phaedra in April, 2013, on what would have been Paula Yates’ 54th birthday.
Yates died from a drug and alcohol overdose in 2000.
